The reviews live on third-party sites. AIP does not edit them. Open the GoAbroad profile and the Go Overseas profile, and read the lower ratings too. They tell you more than the five-star ones.

What people criticize

We read our reviews, including the critical ones. Two themes come up most: housing and visa paperwork.

Housing. Some interns did not expect to share. In Nepal, India and Australia, bedrooms are shared with another intern of the same gender, and never mixed. Standard housing is a furnished apartment shared with other interns, with your own bedroom in most destinations. Premium housing is a private apartment to yourself, with your own bedroom and bathroom. We vet every place, and it is within about an hour of your office by public transport. Check your destination page before you pay.

Visa admin. Visa rules depend on your passport and how long you stay, and the paperwork takes effort. Visa assistance is included in every program. We confirm your visa route before you pay the deposit.

Waiting and problems on the ground. Finding your placement takes about 8 weeks from your deposit. Once you are in the country, we hold check-in calls with the company and with you roughly every two weeks, and every program has 24/7 emergency support. If a placement is not working, we talk it through with you and look for a better fit, as Maya's story shows.
