Is Asia Internship Program Legit? How to Check Any Provider

Quick answer: Yes. Asia Internship Program (AIP) is run by AIP SG PTE LTD, a company registered in Singapore, founded in 2013 with a team based in Bangkok, and has supported 15,000+ students since then. Its programs have 723 reviews at 4.7 out of 5 on GoAbroad. Check each point yourself.

Paying a deposit to a company in another country is a big step, so it is right to ask whether it is real. Below is how to check any provider, what AIP promises and what it does not, and what past interns say.

How to check any internship provider

Use the same four checks for every company you compare, including us.

  • Registration. Ask for the legal company name and where it is registered. AIP's legal entity is AIP SG PTE LTD in Singapore, and its details are in our privacy policy.
  • Independent reviews. Look at review sites the company does not control. AIP is listed on GoAbroad with 723 reviews at 4.7 out of 5, and on Go Overseas with 512 reviews at 4.89 out of 5. GoAbroad lists AIP as a Top Rated program for interning in South Korea and in Taiwan for 2026.
  • Real people. A trustworthy provider shows who works there and lets you speak to them. Our team is on the About page, and you can book a free call with a career advisor.
  • Written terms. Read the terms before you pay. Our deposit, refund and cancellation terms are in the Terms & Conditions and explained on the FAQ page.

What AIP promises, and what it does not

Here is the promise in plain words. If we accept you and can't find you a placement by your placement deadline, you get your full $500 deposit back, with no fees taken off. Finding your placement takes about 8 weeks from your deposit. If you cancel, or turn down a placement that fits the field you chose, the deposit isn't refunded.

Here is what we do not promise.

  • Flights. They are not included in any program.
  • Pay. Most international internships are unpaid, and we can't promise a salary.
  • A job. We don't offer full-time job placements, although some interns are offered a role by their host company.
  • Your host company's decision. Host companies interview you and choose their interns.

Every program includes your internship placement, visa assistance and 24/7 emergency support. See programs and pricing for what Explorer, Traveler and Pioneer include, and how it works for each step.

What past interns say

These are short quotes from interns who recorded video stories. You can watch the full stories on our intern stories page.

  • Max, who interned in business development in Singapore: "They placed me with the internship that I was really looking for."
  • Jacob, who interned in supply chain and logistics in Bangkok: "I told him I want to do a logistics company, and he found me a logistics company to go work with."
  • Brianna, who interned in PR and marketing in Thailand: "There's always just this great support having AIP, especially being in a foreign country where I don't speak the language."

No provider is perfect for everyone, so read reviews on GoAbroad and Go Overseas too, including the lower ratings, and ask us about anything you find. See also our Thailand and South Korea pages for what interns do there.

Check us with your university

We work with 80+ partner universities and send the paperwork your study-abroad office asks for. We also attend NAFSA, the international education conference, and you can see us at NAFSA 2027 in Los Angeles. If you would like your university to verify us, see our university partnership page or ask us to contact them.

How to talk to us

Apply for free, then have a free call with a career advisor. Ask anything on the call: where the company is registered, what is included, what happens if you change your mind. Nothing is due until you are accepted and choose to pay the deposit.
