Where will I live?
Furnished housing within about an hour of your office: Standard on Traveler (a bedroom shared with another intern of the same gender, in an apartment shared with other interns; a same-gender apartment on request), Premium on Pioneer (a private apartment to yourself, with your own bedroom and bathroom and a shared kitchen). Rent is paid by AIP up front, so you do not deal with landlords or deposits.

What it's like to intern here
Interns in Australia work in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide, in central business districts and creative neighborhoods such as Surry Hills, Collingwood and Fortitude Valley. Hosts include marketing agencies, hospitality groups, consultancies and startups. Business interns support sales and reporting, marketing interns manage content and campaigns, and hospitality interns help with events and guest services.
Workplaces are flat and informal, first names are normal even for the boss, and interns are often trusted to own a small piece of work. Beaches, coastal walks and road trips fill the weekends.
Why go
Bondi to Coogee in Sydney, St Kilda in Melbourne and Glenelg in Adelaide are all reachable by public transport after a day in the office.
The Great Ocean Road from Melbourne, the Blue Mountains from Sydney and the Gold Coast from Brisbane make classic weekend trips.
Flat whites, brunch spots and food markets are part of daily life, and Melbourne's laneway cafes are famous for a reason.

What visa do I need to intern in Australia?
Visa assistance is included in every program. We confirm your visa route before you pay the deposit and prepare the documents your embassy asks for.
Which fields can I intern in?

What else should I budget for?
Budget for living costs on top of your program fee.
Where will I live?
Traveler interns get Standard housing: furnished shared accommodation where you share a bedroom with another intern of the same gender. You share the apartment with other interns, and a same-gender apartment can be arranged on request. Pioneer interns get Premium housing: a private apartment to yourself, with your own bedroom and bathroom and a shared kitchen. We vet every place, and it's within about an hour of your office by public transport. Explorer doesn't include housing, so you choose where you live.
Can I get university credit for my internship?
Yes, if your university accepts it: we provide the documents it needs (internship agreement, placement confirmation, supervisor evaluation and a host certificate of completion). The university decides whether and how much credit to give.
What support do I get?
Every program has 24/7 emergency support. Traveler and Pioneer include airport pickup, and Pioneer also includes a first-day drop-off and tours.
