Questions from universities

What does it cost the university?

It depends on the model, and we agree on it with each university. There are three: the university covers the full program, with custom pricing and programs; the university covers part of the program, on custom or standard programs; or the university promotes AIP and its students pay a reduced price on the standard programs.

Can our students get academic credit?

Yes, if your university agrees. We provide an internship agreement, a placement confirmation, a supervisor evaluation and a host company certificate of completion. Your university decides whether to give credit and how much.

How long are cohort programs?

Standard programs run from 6 to 24 weeks. Cohort programs can also run for 4 weeks.

Is insurance included?

Travel and health insurance isn't included in the standard programs, but we can add it to a cohort program.

How do we list AIP for our students?

Fill in the form on this page or book a call. We send a short description and links, a co-branded flyer if you want one, and we can run an info session for your students.

Can our staff visit?

Yes. Our fam trips are 3 to 5 day visits for university staff to see a destination, host companies and housing, and to meet the people who support your students.

How do you vet and support host companies?

Every host company has a named supervisor who speaks fluent English, a real office, at least 5 employees, at least 2 years of registration and at least $30,000 in capital. During the internship we check in with the company and the student about every two weeks. If a problem can't be solved, we find the student a new placement.
