Education internships in Asia and beyond
Lesson plans, online courses and learning videos.
Overview
What the internship is about
Education hosts include edtech startups, language and tutoring centers, international schools and NGOs that run learning programs. Interns write lesson plans and worksheets, build course modules in Moodle or Google Classroom, record and edit short teaching videos, and help run classes or workshops with a teacher in the room. Edtech teams also ask interns to test new features with students and report back.
A week often mixes two or three days of planning and building materials with time in class, watching how learners use them. Singapore, South Korea and Japan have the most education host companies, with Vietnam, India and Nepal close behind.

FAQ
Your questions, answered
What will I do on an education internship?
You'll help create and improve learning materials, online courses or training programs, at schools, edtech companies or in company training teams.
Do I need experience to get an education internship?
You don't need a teaching qualification. Students in education, psychology, design or business all fit well. An interest in how people learn matters most.
What skills and tools will I use?
You may use online learning platforms, course design tools, Canva and video editing tools. You'll learn how games and interactive content keep learners engaged.
Where can I do an education internship?
Popular destinations for education internships include Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, India and Nepal. Tell us where you'd like to go and we'll check what's possible.
Can I get university credit for my internship?
Yes, if your university accepts it: we provide the documents it needs (internship agreement, placement confirmation, supervisor evaluation and a host certificate of completion). Your university decides whether to give credit, and how much.
How much does it cost, and is it paid?
Programs start from $2,050 for 6 weeks on Explorer, depending on where you go. Most internships are unpaid.
