The internship in 30 seconds
Day to day
They are always really helpful with all my work, and it feels like home for me.
Intern
Feyaz was an SEO and marketing intern: content creation through blog posts, social media marketing across the company's channels, and helping his colleagues.
Working in Korea was much like he expected from a Western job: “just your typical nine-to-five job, not much overtime”. The company helped him settle in as an intern: “They always are really helpful in helping me with all my work, and it feels like home for me.”
On AIP, he names three things: they set up the meetings with the company, “so you don't have to look for a meeting yourself”; they help with the visa requirements; and once you're in the country “they regularly message you” and send a helpful guide to the country.

Life in the city
Feyaz rates the transport (“the subway, buses and metros are all really good”) and the food: Korean BBQ and soju among the highlights. Coming from the Netherlands, he likes that it doesn't rain much. It gets chilly in winter, but spring and summer are really nice, and there's a lot of sightseeing to do.

Hi, my name is Feyaz. I'm studying at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and I'm currently working in Korea. My role in the company is SEO marketing intern. I'm working on content creation by doing blog posts, also upholding social media marketing by following all the social media channels, and also helping all the other colleagues.
Working in Korea is quite the same as expected of working in a Western culture. It's just your typical nine-to-five job, not much overtime, and this company is really helpful to me as an intern in helping me get set up. They always are really helpful in helping me with all my work, and it feels like home for me.
I've currently been in Korea for 11 months, and some good benefits of this country are that the transportation is really good: the subway, buses and metros are all really good. Furthermore, the food is really amazing, for example [unclear], Korean BBQ, soju, I think you've all seen it. The weather for me is perfect, because it doesn't rain a lot here, and in the Netherlands it rains a lot, so it's quite nice. It's getting kind of chilly now in the winter, but during spring and summer it's really nice, and the [unclear] is really amazing. There's a lot of sightseeing to do.
The services of AIP are really helpful. Firstly, they set up all the meetings with the company, so you don't have to look for a meeting yourself. Secondly, they also help you with all the visa requirements and what you need. And thirdly, they also help you when you're in the country: they regularly message you, and they also send you a helpful guide of the country.
My advice for future interns is to do your internship abroad, because an internship abroad provides you with so many benefits. For example, it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you will probably never do again, the countries that you have never seen before, the amazing people that you meet, and also the culture. All these experiences you can bring back home and further elevate your future.
