Intern
Felix was a marketing intern at a tour agency in Seoul, learning about marketing patterns, marketing strategy and how to attract customers through the internet. The work isn't only in the office but also outdoors, so he came to learn a lot about Korean culture and history as well.
On AIP: “They've been really responsive to all my concerns.” He found them caring, and they organized events so he could meet other interns “in the same boat as me, in the same country”.

Life in the city
“Living here has been great, because I got to meet different people from different backgrounds and different cultures.” His tip is to go out of your way to get to know people.
New to the city?
What to know before you land
Be open-minded. It really broadens my perspective, not just going to different places or meeting new people, but also experiencing the culture and getting to know the history. Doing that, I really got to know this place a lot more, and I really enjoy Korea.

Hi, my name is Felix and I'm from Hong Kong. I'm currently taking a gap year, and I'm working here as a marketing intern. I'm actually doing marketing here in Korea, and currently I'm learning a lot about marketing patterns, marketing strategy and how to attract customers through the internet.
As well, I get to learn a lot about Korean history and Korean culture, because of the nature of my work. At a tour agency we not only work in the office but also work outdoors, so I actually came to learn a lot more about Korean culture and history, as well as going to explore the city.
Living here has been great, because I got to meet different people from different backgrounds and different cultures, and I think it's more about just going out of your way to get to know people, and just always be easygoing and outgoing.
I really enjoy the service from AIP, because they've been really responsive to all my concerns. They also are really caring to me, to get to know [unclear], as well as organizing events so I can meet other interns in the same boat as me, in the same country. So it was great.
My advice would be to be open-minded, as it really broadens my perspective, not just going to different places or meeting new people, but also experiencing the culture and getting to know the history. Just doing that, I really got to know this place a lot more, and I really enjoy Korea.
