The internship in 30 seconds
Day to day
This internship has been a worthwhile experience and it has prepared me for my professional career.
Intern
Bruno was a network engineer intern at a network security consulting company in Bangkok. He worked on a video game used as a training tool: a security game that “closely emulates real-world systems” to improve information security for end users and employees, “far better than just reading technical documents or guides”.
The internship led to a job opportunity: “I've ended up with an opportunity with the company that I'm working for, and I'm going to take it.”
On AIP: “their services are very quick and efficient,” they're ready to help any time you need them, “and even after you get here they're really good, and they're always there.”

Life in the city
“Bangkok as a city has been awe-inspiring.” Bruno found it very different, down to the working culture: “it's so relaxed and laid back, and you've just got to live in the moment.”
New to the city?
What to know before you land
I think it's that hospitality which is more important when you're picking any company to get you an internship.

My name is Bruno. I'm from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and I studied computer science engineering at [unclear] University. I'm currently interning at a network security consulting company as a network engineer, and it's been three months since I've been in town.
I'm currently working on a game, and we're trying to use video games as a training tool. Our current hypothesis is to have a security game which closely emulates real-world systems to improve information security for end users and employees of companies. It's something which is far better than just reading technical documents or guides, whatever you find online nowadays.
This internship has been a worthwhile experience and it has prepared me for my professional career. I think I've ended up with an opportunity with the company that I'm working for, and I'm going to take it. I think I'm going to come back here and work for the same company that I'm working for now.
Thailand is such a different place, and the experience since the first day has been so awesome. Bangkok as a city has been awe-inspiring, and it's so different because of the culture. Even the working culture is so relaxed and laid back, and you've just got to live in the moment. Yeah, I've had a great time so far.
I'm very, very pleased with the services that AIP has provided me, because their services are very quick and efficient, and they're ready to help you any time that you need them, for whatever it might be. And even after you get here they're really good, and they're always there. The people are so nice, the individual people at AIP, so it's a great experience having them. I'm so lucky that I ended up with them getting me an internship here, and I think it's that hospitality which is more important when you're picking any company to get you an internship.
