Intern

Anna was an analyst intern at a technology accelerator in Thailand. The role was not one single task: “I'm doing a lot of different things, so it's not just one task,” with a variety of projects.

With a background in finance and accounting, she chose AIP because it would be “something completely different from what I normally do”. Instead of a corporate job, “I really wanted to do something different.”

Life in the city

Anna found the culture very laid-back: “I don't think it's as aggressive as New York City,” and people “are just really nice to each other”. Her verdict so far: “It's been a great time.”

I'm from Bloomington, Indiana. I go to Indiana University there, and I've been in finance and accounting. The company that I work for is a technology accelerator, and I'm an analyst, but I'm doing a lot of different things, so it's not just one task. I'm doing a variety of projects, and it's a [unclear] culture, which is awesome.

So I've learned that the working culture here, and generally, is kind of [unclear]. [unclear] is very relaxed, [unclear] very laid-back culture. [unclear] really nice, and I don't think it's as aggressive as New York City. I just think everybody here [unclear], they're just really nice to each other.

I applied for AIP because I thought it would be something completely different from what I normally do. A lot of students [unclear] work in a corporate job, but I really wanted to do something different, so I decided to apply for AIP [unclear] Thailand, because the thought of this is really exciting. It's been a great time so far.

And I highly recommend, if you get a chance, an opportunity like this to go [unclear], absolutely go for it, because it's amazing here. Yeah, I've had [unclear] of a lifetime, and [unclear] able to get a professional experience and training [unclear]. So definitely go for it.
