The internship in 30 seconds
Day to day
I know that those memories will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Intern
Alessia did her design internship at a company in Seoul. She liked that the company “wasn’t too big”, so she wasn’t overwhelmed, and her colleagues “were always so helpful and happy to help me with any questions”, especially with recommendations of where to eat and how to use public transport.
On AIP: “It was honestly so helpful that AIP set up a lot of things for us,” such as her accommodation, SIM card and transport to and from the airport. She could contact AIP any time she needed, and AIP set up a dinner with a Korean local, “so I got to learn a lot more about the Korean life.”

Hi, my name is Alessia, and I decided to do an overseas internship in South Korea.
I’ve always been interested in South Korean culture, especially after I started watching South Korean TV shows and movies. I learned a lot about their culture and how people live, so I decided I should go and experience that myself. I also fell in love with the architecture, whether it be modern or historical, and I found the palace like one of my favorite places.
I loved working in Korea. The company that I was with wasn’t too big, and I wasn’t overwhelmed with the amount of people. They were always so helpful and happy to help me with any questions, anything I had, especially about recommendations of where to eat and the public transport system, as that took me a while to get used to as well.
It was honestly so helpful that AIP set up a lot of things for us, such as our accommodation, our SIM cards, our transportation to and from the airport, which I found really helpful, as that stresses me out a little bit. I was always able to contact AIP any time I needed, and AIP also set up a dinner with us and this Korean girl named Daisy, so I got to learn a lot more about the Korean life, and we all had a really good time as well. And I know that those memories will stay with me for the rest of my life.
