What you'll do
Your day-to-day
As a Supply Chain & Logistics intern in Taiwan, you might:
- Track orders and shipments, and flag delays.
- Help with inventory planning and stock reports.

Supply chains in Taipei and the science parks
Taiwan's supply chains are built around clusters. Hsinchu Science Park in the north puts manufacturers, suppliers, research institutions and universities close together, and science parks in central and southern Taiwan follow a similar model. Many parts, materials and equipment suppliers sit near each other and work as one network.
Because so many firms depend on each other, a delay at one supplier can affect many others, which is why planning and tracking roles matter here. Planners keep track of components, order dates and stock across many firms. Our Taiwan placements are in Taipei. Questions interns ask
Do I need an engineering degree for a supply chain internship in Taiwan?
No. Everyone 18 and over is welcome, with or without a degree. Tracking orders, updating stock sheets and writing short reports are common first tasks.
Do I need to speak Mandarin for a logistics internship in Taiwan?
No. Our host companies work in English. Mandarin helps with suppliers and colleagues, but it isn't required.
Will I work in a factory or an office?
Many intern tasks are desk-based, such as tracking, planning and reports, but it depends on the host. Tell your advisor if you want to see a factory or warehouse.
