# Asia Internship Program (AIP) > AIP arranges professional internships abroad for students, recent graduates and career changers in 16 countries plus remote internships, with China and Kazakhstan coming soon. The team is based in Bangkok, Thailand. Programs run from 6 to 24 weeks, start any time of year, and include an internship placement matched to the intern's field, visa assistance, 24/7 emergency support, career and CV consultation and a certificate from the host company. Interns are 18 or over, with or without a degree. Standard housing and airport pickup are included on the Traveler program, and Premium housing and airport pickup on the Pioneer program. Airport pickup means a pre-booked car waiting for you whenever you land, day or night, taking you straight to your housing. Flights are never included. From $2,050. - Traveler (most popular): includes Standard housing (a furnished apartment: your own apartment in South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia, and in Singapore for stays up to 12 weeks; elsewhere an apartment shared with other interns, with your own bedroom; shared same-gender bedrooms in Australia, India and Nepal; bedrooms are never mixed gender), airport pickup and a pre-arrival orientation. A same-gender apartment can be arranged on request. Housing in Spain, and Standard housing in Nepal, has no air conditioning. From $2,300. - Pioneer: includes Premium housing (a private apartment to yourself, with your own bedroom and bathroom; the kitchen is shared in Singapore, Hong Kong, Nepal, India, Spain and Australia), airport pickup, a pre-arrival orientation, a preloaded transport card and SIM card, a first-day office drop-off and tours. From $3,500. - Remote: work for a company in Asia from anywhere, age 18+, about 20 to 25 hours a week. $1,700 for any length from 6 to 24 weeks. - Prodigy: remote internship for ages 16 to 17, with AIP Advanced Supervision (the AIP team works with the intern's supervisor, and parents are kept informed). $2,200 for any length from 6 to 24 weeks. - "From" prices for Explorer, Traveler and Pioneer are for 6 weeks in each program's lowest-priced destination, in USD. Prices vary by destination and length; see the pricing page. Not every program is offered in every destination (for example, India and Nepal have no Explorer, South Africa has no Pioneer). In India and Nepal every program includes housing and three meals a day. - Age: 18 or over for in-person internships, with or without a degree. Prodigy is for ages 16 to 17. Any nationality can apply, subject to visa; good English is needed and no experience is required. Host companies work in English. - Visas: visa assistance is included in every program. AIP confirms your visa route before you pay the deposit and prepares the documents your embassy asks for. - Timeline: Finding your placement takes about 8 weeks from your deposit, so apply with a start date at least 12 weeks away. If your start date is less than 12 weeks away, you need AIPx Fast Track. AIPx Fast Track is an optional $500 add-on paid together with the deposit: AIP confirms at least one interview with a host company within 21 working days of the deposit, so interns can start within about 8 weeks instead of 12 or more (it confirms an interview, not a placement). - Host companies interview and choose their interns. If AIP accepts you and cannot place you, you get your full $500 deposit back with no fees taken off. If you cancel or turn down a placement in your field, the deposit is not refunded. - Payments: applying and the call with a career advisor are free. A $500 deposit is paid once accepted. The balance is due 5 days after the placement is confirmed or 30 days before the start date, whichever comes first. - Refer a friend: $200 off for the friend who applies with your code and $200 off for you, for every friend you refer. - Most internships are unpaid.
